S 0136
Protections for Public Employees who use Medical Marijuana as Qualified Patients
Would have stopped Florida government agencies from firing, demoting, or refusing to hire workers who legally use medical marijuana as registered patients. Employers would also have had to give workers written notice and a chance to explain a positive drug test. Exceptions applied for safety-sensitive jobs. The bill died in committee.
