Injunctions for Protection

Would let Floridians seek a court-issued protective order against someone they know who has committed or threatened serious violence against them — similar to a domestic violence injunction but broader. Filing would be free, courts would electronically transmit orders quickly, and police would be required to serve the order immediately. The bill died without becoming law.
