Protection from Surgical Smoke
Would have required Florida hospitals and outpatient surgery centers to adopt policies mandating smoke evacuation equipment during procedures that generate surgical smoke — protecting OR staff and patients from inhaling toxic fumes produced by lasers and electrosurgical tools. The bill died without becoming law.
