Pregnant Women in Custody
Jails must tell female inmates they can request a pregnancy test; if held over 72 hours, the test must be given on request. A judge could delay the start of a prison sentence for a pregnant woman and set conditions. Pregnant women must be offered assessments and services. Facilities and DOC must track and report pregnancy data. Died in committee.
